Víctor Santamarina was born in Madrid in 1990, and is currently enrolled at the Piet Zwart Institute MFA program as a Rotterdam-based sculptor. His practice focuses on processes of mold making and interactions with and within the medium. His sculptural works result from the development of the forms, elements, and uncontrolled events that arise during the process of making. As an artist, he has exhibited his work in Espacio Valverde, Can Felipa, The Free shop, Garcia Galeria and Proyecto Rampa, among others. In parallel to his artistic practice, he often works as an artist assistant and production technician, working with artists Koen Theys, Guillermo Mora, Teresa Solar Abboud and Ernesto Burgos, among others.
