Stefano Baia Curioni

Stefano Baia Curioni (b. 1956, Italy) is an expert in economics of arts and culture. His research interests concentrate in the areas of History of thought, History of finance, History of labor and History of information technology. Baia Curioni is an Associate Professor of Economic History at the Department of Policy Analysis and Public Management of Università Bucconi. He was the Director of ASK center -research laboratory for arts and cultural institutions (2004-2009), of which he is currently Vice President; General Director of ERGA Foundation (2005-2009); Member of the Commission for the Italian Cultural Heritage, appointed by the Ministry for Heritage and Cultural and Artistic Activities (2008) and project evaluator of cultural policies of the European Research Council (2011). He has published and lectured widely on his subjects of research, being invited in 2011 to Art Basel to speak about the global art market .
