Sherif El- Azma (Manchester, UK, 1975) graduated from the Surrey Institute in London with a B.A. in Film and Video. He lives in Cairo. Since 1997 he has been working as a freelancer on various projects in the film and video industry, for example as a video editor, production assistant, and video cameraman. He has produced several short videos in Cairo since 1997, ranging from classic documentaries to experimental film. The most important conceptual element running through his work is his examination of the contemporary idiom employed in Egyptian documentaries and cinema films.
