Jason Dodge

Jason Dodge (b. 1969, the United States) is a Berlin-based artist who received a MFA at Yale University School of Art, New Haven, CT and who completed two independent studies in Florence and Malawi. He is a sculptor who draws objects from everyday life to explore their narrative potential. His work may appear to be materially minimalistic, but often belies a complex artistic process. Dodge’s work has been exhibited at various venues, among which most recently solo exhibitions at LENTOS Kunstmuseum Linz, Linz (2013); Henry Art Gallery, Seattle (2013); American Academy in Rome (with Martino Gamper) (2013), Rome; Kunstverein Nürnberg (2012) and at CAC Vilnius in Lithuania (2011). His work has also been included in numerous group shows, including the 2012 Paris Triennale (curated by Okwui Enwezor), the 30th São Paulo Biennial (2012); The Workers, MASS MoCA (2011); Language of Less (Then & Now),the MCA Chicago (2011); and The Quick and the Dead (curated by Peter Eleey), the Walker Art Center (2009).
