Yvonne Dröge Wendel (Karlsruhe 1961) lives and works in Amsterdam. She graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam and was artist in residence at the Rijksakademie, Amsterdam (1993-1994) and Delfina Studios in London (2002-2003). As a visual artist, she's a doctoral student at the University of Twente, Enschede. She’s also Head of the department of visual arts at the Rietveld Academie. She published artists’ books and shows her work in solo and groups shows. Dröge Wendel regularly interacts with audiences at a wide range of locations in public space. In 1994, she was awarded 2nd prize in the Prix de Rome for visual arts and theater.
