Hicham Khalidi

Hicham Khalidi (b. 1972, Kenitra) lives and works in Brussels. Khalidi is a curator of contemporary art. From 2003 till 2011, he had been the artistic director of TAG (Audiovisual Art Institute in The Hague, The Netherlands). Khalidi studied finance at the University of Utrecht and worked for a couple of years in the fashion industry. In his practice he is interested in the politics of the image, and trans-disciplinary research in speculative art and design. Khalidi is a member of the board of V2_, an interdisciplinary centre for art and media technology in Rotterdam. As Curator Media Art at art centre STUK he is responsible for the exhibitions at STUK and Artefact festival. His latest exhibitions as a curator include the Marrakesh Biennale, Marrakesh (2012), the Nemo Science Center, Amsterdam (2012), and the Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin (2011).
