David Jablonowski

David Jablonowski (1982, Bochum, DL) moved from Germany to Amsterdam in 2007, where he graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and participated in De Ateliers studio program until 2009. In 2011 he participated in International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP), New York. In his work, Jablonowski examines the surface and the evolution of contemporary communication technologies. In the form of sculptures, videos and installations, he focuses on the development of language as a technically reproducible code and aesthetic production with regard to the communication of knowledge and information. His artistic interest is on the sculptural quality of communication techniques as well as the specific aesthetics of different historical media formats, which make a long- term impact on perception and cultural self-conception.

Jablonowski’s solo exhibition at Kunsthalle Lingen opens October 2015.
