Artist Julieta Aranda lead a small group of invited participants on a boat trip into the harbour of Rotterdam. This excursion was used to incubate a larger research project the artist was developing.

Caught between the demands of experience and representation, documentation and fantasy, travelers in the tropics have often treated tropical nature as a foil to the temperate, to all that is civilized, modest, and enlightened.
