New titles at this year’s presentations include: Decorations by artist Kasper Bosmans, whose eponymous presentation will be on view at Witte de With this fall as part of the WDW25+ Commissions program; Qiu Zhijie: Unicorns in a Blueprint, a publication that takes as its focus the maps of the artist and thinker Qiu Zhijie, departing from the exhibition Blueprints presented at Witte de With in 2012; GesammttkkunnsttMeshuggahhLaandtttt, a catalogue accompanying the respective solo exhibitions of artist Charlemagne Palestine, co-published by Witte de With, Kunsthalle Wien and Sternberg Press; and WDWXXV: In Light Of 25 Years which documents artists’ works responding in varied ways to developments in contemporary art, its landscape and possibilities today, departing from Witte de With’s quarter century of exhibition history.
On Saturday September 10 2016, as part of the WIELS Art Book Fair 2016, artist Kasper Bosmans will discuss his two latest publications with Posture Editions and Witte de With Publishers, followed by a book signing. Bosmans talks with Samuel Saelemakers (Curator, Witte de With) about Specimen Days, a catalogue documenting his ongoing series of legend paintings, while Nikolaas Demoen and Katrien Daemers (Posture Editions) ask him about the artist book he made accompanying his exhibition Decorations at Witte de With.
