Arteleku is a contemporary art and cultural center that is dependent on the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council Culture Department. It is a center that is permanently expanding and constantly changing, and which is open to growth and knowledge. It is a place that provides support for art based on a perspective that produces and promotes a wide variety of propositions that can be disseminated externally but that also reflect our local society, public and community. With an important interdisciplinary schedule of activities, Arteleku can act as an observatory on emerging trends, through projects (self-produced or created in collaboration with others) theme courses, workshops and seminars run by specialist technicians, exhibitions and actions coordinated by guest artists. Another of Arteleku’s undertakings involves dissemination and communication. Examples include Zehar, the art and opinion magazine and the center’s website (www.arteleku.net) which as well as providing news and views, also provides a space for digital production.
